Professional visit of students from the Technical University of Moldova, Republic of Moldova, Chisinau to the Faculty of Engineering in Hunedoara

Episode 1

Under the cooperation agreement on the basis of reciprocity for the benefit of education, professional training and academic research between the Technical University of Moldova, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova and the Politehnica University of Timisoara, during the period February 16, 2025 – March 1, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering in Hunedoara was host for the delegation of students from the bachelor’s degree program at the Technical University of Moldova in Chisinau, Faculty of Electrical and Power Engineering and Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, Republic of Moldova.

At the level of both institutions, one of the activities of this agreement is to promote the exchange of experience and information necessary for educational and research activities through professional visits to private companies in Romania.

Students became familiar with the requirements of employers in Romania, learned professional stories, and socialized through tourism, culture and customs.

The professional visits program started on Monday, February the 17th with the visit to EUROSPORT DHS SA Deva.

Mihaela…,,My first interaction with a highly developed company in the field I study was at the DHS bicycle factory in Deva. I didn’t expect to be so impressed by the bicycle manufacturing process, but I realized how much work and precision goes into each product. From cutting and welding the frame to painting and assembly, everything was meticulously organized. It was interesting to see how a company of this type manages to stay competitive in the market knowing that the competition is so great, especially in an era where sustainable mobility is becoming increasingly important.”

Cristian….,,at Eurosport DHS Deva, we stepped into the world of bicycles. We saw how bicycles are assembled step by step, how each component finds its place to create a perfect final product. The store gave us an overview of the diversity of models produced here. The story of the company, from its founding to its current position on the market, was presented with enthusiasm, and this showed me how important it is to have vision and perseverance in the industry.”
