The writing habit hypothesis
,,Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” Carl Gustav Jung
How did I choose to share my experience?
Through my lenses, with the invaluable help of writings and words heard along the path I have built step by step through my decisions. Every word heard or read, every sentence, phrase or title mingled in the magic workshop of my mind and soul whereupon they took a stylized form like the magic genie.
Before I continue writing please do not agree with everything I write nor disapprove of everything I write. That way you’ll feel comfortable and won’t wonder if what I’m saying is right or not. This approach gives you the opportunity to learn things without getting upset, the listening will be relaxed and if something resonates with you you will feel the sensations in your body.
What is my relationship with handwriting?
We are born to manifest our unique essence, not to stray from our true selves. What makes you happy? The science of success, what you feel inside when you give, what brings the WHAT and the WHY together in the most wonderful way.
This concept caught me at the moment in life when I was looking for meaningful values, the moment when I was perfecting my psychological immune system against unhappiness, the moment when I realized that we can connect with each other soul to soul, not head to head, and we can create emotionally meaningful interactions. With each interaction it is important to find the tools that we can use when needed. A permanent preoccupation is caring for our daily state.
If I had to describe myself in two words, they would be: curious and brave.
And yes, I like to write and I like to read. I read because it is important for me to understand how this big world works and I seek to go in rhythm with life and with Nature. I write with joy and confidence. I don’t consider myself a writer. I can say that I am a bridge. I write to give my thoughts a chance to come to life at the level of aspirations and potential that I have and have not yet delineated. I write to know myself better and better, to see and feel close to myself, to be able to make decisions in my favor, to be authentic and in integrity.
I grew up and spent over 20 years in a time when reading was the way to the mysteries and magic of the world. My parents had a large library which supported and encouraged my interest in reading. I have always loved books. I often smell their paper when I read them, and when I hold the book in both hands I feel a sense of closeness with the writers as I visualize myself as part of the content of the stories.
The habit of reading as well as that of studying through books about existence and about myself remained with me. This is how I work most efficiently, I write and re-read, check off, throw away the pages, change agendas and write again. I write at various times in my life when: I make a plan for what I have to do, when one of the topics covered on social networks defines me, when I read and an idea comes to me, when I watch something on TV and a line inspires me, when I listen to a podcast and empathize with the subject, when I hear a song and I’m in the mental state that gives birth to a strategy to improve an aspect of life, I write after interactions with wonderful people I know in my experiences, when one of the inner voices gives birth to a reflection, when the smell of nature brings out the joy of life, when the intensity of the rain enhances my perception of connection with everything and everyone, when the blue of the sky enhances the beauty of the day, when the shape of the moon catches me dreaming of the mysteries of the universe, when the warmth of the sun caresses my cheeks.
I was fascinated by cap and sword books, detective stories and love stories. The soul book remained ,,1001 night”. Curiosity about the life of other times, how it manifested itself, the intrigues, the victory of good, all slowly brought me closer to me and defined the meaning of my life. They shaped my values and beliefs, limits and desires, motivation and hope. Enlightenment came as I progressed down the paths of befriending myself and all my variants.
As a child, I was 12-13 years old, I remember it was fashionable to have a Notebook of memories. It was a personalized notebook with the means of technology of those times, colored more or less according to everyone’s wishes and vision, which we borrowed for a short period (2-3 days) to write down our thoughts and give them to the owner with love. I treasured my memory notebook.
I was so fascinated to read and write in these hopeful manifestos. Most of the texts were of thanks and gratitude for the trust given, but also parables for what was to come in our lives. They were like guiding maps through the wilderness of mind and soul.
Stories have an effect on us. Because we always find in them a part of us, of our soul. We feel that we identify with what suits us, with our needs to have the energy to clearly define our thoughts. We seek truth through lenses that change in favor of personal growth, healing, awareness of the good.
Sufis believe that every human being is a mirror that reflects the universe as a whole. Moreover, that each of us is a ,,microcosm” (a small universe) that reflects the ,,macrocosm” (the big universe). The spiritual potential of the human being can be reached by emphasizing the need to overcome the limits of the ego and achieve a state of unity with the divine through love, purification and inner knowledge.
In the ,,Therapeutic Journal”, Lavinia Bratu states that ,,the things we focus on are the things we grow in our lives. The world is like a mirror and we need to learn how to look in it.”
In other words, being human requires living with a whole chorus of conflicting voices and emotions mixed in neurochemical cocktails. The experience would have uplifting and beneficial effects if some members of the choir did not plot against others. Distinct or mixed, we end up locking ourselves into larger or smaller boxes, aspects of personality just to align with the perfect image we project around us. How could there be a democracy within us?
