Another professional visit of students from the Technical University of Moldova, Chisinau took place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at IPEC SA Alba Iulia.
Since 2017, the third world producer of plates, the company is not just a successful business, it is Innovation, Performance, Efficiency, Competence.
The company was born in 1990, as a small family business and has grown gradually, combining experience with the highest quality standards. Along the way, it has invested in new technologies, new automation, production flows are optimized and modified. The factory is 80 percent automated. The company produces 1.7 million pieces per month (approximately 20 million pieces annually), representing 1% of the world production of plates.

It was interesting to see how each product goes through a rigorous chemical check and how optimizing production with the help of a large number of robots makes the process much more efficient.”

We followed the entire manufacturing process: from the preparation of raw materials, to firing and decoration. This allowed us to realize how diversified engineering specializations are and to understand that technical knowledge finds its application not only in energy, but also in completely unexpected fields.”
Cristian…..,,At IPEC Alba Iulia, we entered a completely different field from those we had previously visited. Here, we were guided through a factory specialized in the production of ceramics plates and cups. We were introduced to the materials used, we were led through different rooms and we followed the entire manufacturing process, from the raw material to the finished product. Each stage was explained with professionalism, and this experience gave us a new perspective on the household goods manufacturing industry.”
