INSTITUTIONAL COLLABORATION

Professional visit of students from the Technical University of Moldova, Republic of Moldova, Chisinau to the Faculty of Engineering in Hunedoara

Episode 8

The student’s visit to Hexing Europe Timișoara on February 27, 2025 was designed as an educational and practical experience, aimed at providing a comprehensive perspective on the renewable energy industry and career opportunities in the field.

The program began with a guided tour of the production lines, where students observed the manufacturing processes of smart metering equipment. This was followed by an introductory session on photovoltaic systems, where students learned how current technologies work and how they contribute to the energy transition.

To bring an inspirational component, our engineers shared their professional experience, and the HR team held a training on creating an effective CV, giving students the necessary tools to prepare for their careers.

The visit also included a practical workshop, where participants learned to create a photovoltaic scheme and understood the basic concepts of installing and operating a solar system. At the end, each student received a certificate of basic skills in photovoltaic systems, a valuable addition to their CV, giving them a competitive advantage in their future career.
Start: – Welcome to Hexing Europe Timișoara!

Anastasia…..,,HEXING is one of the best companies I have visited, even though it is a fairly new company in Romania. They produce solar panels and I really liked that the assembly process is done with the help of robots. The amount of products needed is impressive.”

Anghelina……,,One of the most memorable moments of the trip was the visit to the Hexing company, which specializes in the development and production of smart meters for solar panels. As a student at the Faculty of Energy, I was particularly interested in discovering the process of manufacturing microchips, from design to the final assembly stage. It was fascinating to observe how modern technologies allow optimizing the use of solar energy and increasing the efficiency of renewable sources. But the most exciting part of the visit was the practical exercise. We had the opportunity to connect a solar panel and check its functionality, applying the knowledge acquired at the university in practice. This was an invaluable experience, which allowed us to feel like real engineers and understand that theory and practice must always go together. At the end of this exercise, each participant received a certificate, which attests to the skills acquired in working with solar panels. This experience further motivated me to study renewable energy sources and their integration into modern energy systems. I realized how important innovations in this field are and thought about how I could contribute, in the future, to the development of clean energy.”

Marius…..,,at „HEXING Timisoara” I understood the importance of innovation in the electrical equipment industry.”

Nicolae…..,,Visiting HEXING Timisoara, I entered the world of electrical equipment and smart solutions for electrical networks. Advanced energy management systems showed me how important energy efficiency is in modern society.”

Cristian…..,,A highlight of our trip was the visit to HEXING Timisoara, where we were truly impressed. In addition to the tour of the electricity meter manufacturing line, we had training on how to present ourselves at an interview and how to highlight our qualities. Another highlight was the workshop where we learned how to connect a solar panel to an inverter and to the grid. „As a student at the Faculty of Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering, specializing in Renewable Energy Systems Engineering, this practical experience provided me with answers to many questions and was one of the most useful activities for my future professional career, and the visit here reinforced my belief that this field has a promising future. The diploma received at the end was a symbolic recognition of our involvement and the knowledge gained.”

Xenia..,,at Hexing, I explored the smart meter and energy automation industry. I was surprised by how advanced the technologies are for optimizing energy consumption.”
